Kuala Lumpur is a cosmopolitan city
of skyscrappers, notably the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers (currently
are reputed to be the tallest buildings in the world), and the grand Kuala
Lumpur Tower (picture below). However, KL retains much of the character and
colour of countless old colonial buildings and pre-war edifices intertwined
with modern buildings featuring a range of influences: Moorish, Islamic,
